IMATS 2011!!!!

HELLO everyone and sorry for having been M.I.A. for so long but we're back and full on! And what better comeback than a IMATS haul?! IMATS stands for International Make-up Artist Trade Show, and they hold several events across the nation including London, Toronto, Sydney, Vancouver, New York, and last but not least Los Angeles! Angie and I, along with another friend (Lauren), attended the event held in LA this past saturday and it was simply uhhh-mazinggg!

This was the first time for all of us and let me tell you we were not let down. Not only were we in a room surrounded my nothing but make-up and other beauty essentials, but we also got the opportunity to meet a few youtube "gurus" as well as prestigious make-up artists such as Dany Sanz, founder of Make Up For Ever.

I honestly don't have the words to describe my excitement, much less the excitement of Angie or Lauren, but we are all already making plans for next years event so I think you can safely assume we LOVED it. There were over 50 vendors including, M.A.C, Make Up For Ever, NYX, Sugarpill, Stila, Inglot, and much much more.

This event is perfect for discovering and trying out new brands that you've never even heard of, as well as the brands you know and love. This event is also perfect for those of you who like saving yourself a couple bucks because a lot of the vendors offer their products at discounted prices, for instance, M.A.C and Make Up For Ever had a 20% discount for the general public and a 40% discount for pro-card holders.

So it's definitely worth saving up for ;) Some advice for any of you thinking of attending next year, wear comfortable shoes! I cannot stress this enough lol there were some girls there in heels that were dying only a few hours into the event, don't get me wrong they all looked stunning, but is the pain worth it? You can make that decision =) And another thing, be prepared to wait in loooooonnnngg lines. Just to give an example, we had to wait like 2 hours for our Make Up For Ever products =/ they gave up on lines all together and just had everyone write down their cell phone numbers and they'd simply call you when your order had been filled. One last tip: take pictures of everything! Well enough of the blabbering and lets get into the stuff we got, hope you enjoy!

Last minute tip: get there early and have some sort of plan of the vendors you want to see and get to them as fast as you can because you might run into the problem I encountered, the stuff you wanted is already sold out =(

Happy Tuesday <3
